Tools we take

We take tools for most manual trades, including auto-mechanics, bricklaying/building, carpentry, electrical and electronic work, metalwork, and plumbing. Items can be hand or power (mains/battery) operated. We need functional batteries and chargers with portable power tools. We normally take bench-mountable power tools, but please contact us regarding any floor standing machinery. For a more detailed list click here.

We take screws, nails etc, preferably boxed and sorted. We do NOT want rusty fixings.

We take manual garden tools – providing they are woodworm free! We take petrol powered garden machines (mowers, brush cutter etc), providing they are in working order. Please ensure they do not have any fuel in them!

We will accept tools for specialist activities e.g. woodturning, carving, leatherwork, blacksmithing, which we will pass on to suitable charities or sell to raise funds.

We do not take –

  • Electrical garden tools (mains or battery)
  • Books, gas cylinders, paint, oil, chemicals, or any hazardous materials
  • Spectacles, walking frames or sticks, wheelchairs, or medicine.
  • Pans, cooking pots, crockery, cutlery, or kitchen utensils, household appliances and fittings, mattresses or curtains
  • Light bulbs or fluorescent tubes

Please note – we do not offer a clearance service – we may reject items which we cannot use as we would have to pay to dispose of waste metal and plastic.
