Tool Aid Ringwood (TAR)
Tool Aid Ringwood (TAR) is located on the Hampshire/Dorset border just north of Ringwood. We have been a UK registered charity since 2014, becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in 2022.
We take in donated tools and other items to refurbish. These are then sent out via other charities. Those charities handle shipping, have arrangements in place to create sustainable businesses in some of the poorest areas of the world, and ensure that the tools reach those that need them. We do not supply directly to parts of the world outside the UK.
We also help local charities that approach us for assistance, providing this complies with our charitable purposes.
We prefer donated tools to be delivered, though we may be able to collect from properties within 20km (13 miles) of Ringwood, depending on availability of volunteers to collect in that area. To see a map of the areas in which we normally collect CLICK HERE
To request a collection, please fill in the form on the CONTACT US page.
The Tool Aid Ringwood workshop is located close to the A338 just north of Ringwood, with easy access and parking. You can locate us from the map on the FIND US page.
We are run by unpaid volunteers, who open our workshop five mornings per week, and often longer. Anyone prepared to volunteer a few hours per week is welcome. Tea and coffee (and biscuits) are provided. No particular skills are required. We will teach you!
If you are interested in volunteering or wish to contact us for any other reason, please fill in the form on the CONTACT US page.
